What happened….?
Wow I feel a big, big silence over here. The blog is silent. And it has all rights to feel empty and alone since the last time that I wrote a post is now six weeks ago. After blogging since 2 years continuously this has been the biggest break from the blog, without any announcement to it. I remember writing the last post on February 16th sitting in our dining room as the German Telekom already cut us off any internet in the former office but forgot to switch on the connection in the new office. I was so annoyed. Nothing with the moving came easily but the cut off the internet was the worst for me. So I gave myself the permission to take the time and rearrange to the new situation which was: driving to the new office without internet and heating, painting the 4 meter high walls, moving all our stuff from one place to the other and starting to reinstall the office and feel home again. First of all we could have never done this moving without our family and friends, we had such great supporters here to help with everything that needed to be done. To make this long story short finally last week we got internet again and slowly I feel home sitting here behind my old desk in a new space, hearing the embroidery machine in the back and the rain on our roof windows at the same time. It is seriously a dream becoming true even if the road was stony.
So here for now a few behind the scenes, mobile shots of this crazy path of turning a bare industry hall into an office space.Â
And of course to never forget, thanks to my dad who carries a camera with him all the time, a picture of us at one of the very first appointments to check the progress of the spaces, without windows, without anything.
And the first days of work at this gorgeous new space with welcome flowers from our landlord.
… and hello again.
PS: lesson learned from this time:Â have the big image in mind but when you walk the way up to that idea just think about each and every tiny next step, then you can realize almost everything.
PPS: second lesson learned: don’t be afraid to ask for help… you just simply cannot do everything yourself.
