Wedding in Wassenaar | Agnes & Michel
A few months ago just at the end of this beautiful summer we packed our bags again and drove with our car to Holland. It always feels like coming home again. Driving those motor ways that we know so well, listening to the radio stations that we used to hear every day and speak the language that feels comfortable to speak like a mother tongue.  We arrived early at the home of Agnes and Michel on their wedding day. The house was quirky and full of people: their two adorable daughters, their parents their siblings. Everybody was busy preparing the last details for the day.
Though we already took the portraits of Agnes and Michel alone and with their daughters before their ceremony we were lucky we also got a second time window for images right after the ceremony at the beautiful beach of Wassenaar. I just love shooting at the beach getting sandy feet as I think this light is so beautiful soft and even it might be the nicest light in the world. As well as the simple background of the sea and the sand… I just couldn’t think of anything nicer as a background.
A day with generations is always special but this wedding of Agnes and Michel who were surrounded by their daughters, parents, siblings and friends was a really special one to me. How lucky are we to call this our work: photographing the love of generations for the generations to come.
