We were waiting in the sun next to the coffee place that Tommy and me agreed on as our meeting place. It was one of those beautiful spring days where the city is full of people and you cannot get a seat at your favorite place. Winny and Tommy came walking up to us and we saw her inspecting the surrounding „Do you know that Jennifer lives in Münster Tommy?“ she asked him and looked at him. „Oh really, I had no idea,“ he replied and smiled towards himself.

Every now and then we get the chance to see our wedding couples again. Sometimes they ask us for an anniversary session and sometimes we get asked to photograph the next step of their life: becoming parents. Tommy contacted me on Monday if I would be available on Friday for a surprise pregnancy shoot for Winny as they both were on their last vacation before their baby would be born. Our schedule was just full of meetings and sessions that week but I really wanted to make this surprise happen so we rescheduled a little bit and arranged everything for their session.

A second later Winny looked just at my face and I smiled back at her. You could see that she was surprised first to meet us „by chance“ two years after their wedding in Amsterdam, now in the city center of Münster before she realized that Tommy had arranged everything as a surprise for her.
