When i started photographing my first weddings 10 years ago I photographed weddings of elder siblings of friends and schoolmates. Now 10 years later I am proud to say that now I get to photograph the weddings of younger siblings of my schoolmates.

Being able to capture and witness the day of Anna-Lena and Christian felt like being with old friends. I went to school with Anna-Lena’s sister Katharina and remember playing with them at their house when we were just 7 years old. If there was one word to describe this day and these special people it would be JOY. Not often have I seen a couple AND a whole family being this joyful and happy throughout the whole day, even when the rain came down pouring.

I hope you enjoy this series as much as I loved to photograph it.
