• Last Tuesday we had the first wedding photographer meetup in Münster. I was super excited who would come and happy to see more than ten photographers show up at Alex Brasserie. It was a mixed group which I loved and we talked about photograhpy, about business about wedding planners and about social media.

  • I design all wedding albums myself and I do it in InDesign. In the beginning it was a hard process starting over again with each and every album. But then I found a way to save my designs as templates and reuse them for new designs. I think a wedding album should tell the story of a wedding in a clean and simple way. Some pages get more images like the reception and the dancing some pages get only one image to emphasize that moment. Anyway this is just my way of design for some it might be to simplistic or minimalistic but I like to look at a wedding album that focusses on the images and the story.

  • Meeting the first time with our wedding couples we sit nicely together and chat about them, about us and about the wedding of course. It is all a nice and relaxed atmosphere and then there is this one question that feels like if all lights bundle and a spot like in police interrogation is hit at me: And what if it rains ?

All eyes are on me and expect me to have a super fancy answer or say something like: "We can always shift the couple session to another date !" And just close with a little shy smile. But no that is not what is going to happen. Well if it rains it rains and that means it is still your wedding day so we will take wedding pictures on your wedding day with rain.

  • Happy Monday !

It is an exciting Monday as I have a little announcement to make. This idea was on my mind for quite a while now.

In the past weeks and months we were/are mentoring photographers and small business owners who want to make the next step and we love it so we decided to open two seats for personal mentor sessions on one Saturday. Which should allow also part time photographers to have a chance to book a seat. The two sessions will be on May 10th 2014 one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

  • This is the second part of my tips for time and sometimes even life savers for your business. You can read the first part here. The first two programs were about saving time during blogging and saving inspiration the second part is about two programs that save me time during the workflow with […]

  • Being a wedding photographer or a portrait photographer you are often forced to photograph at noon when the sun is at it's highest. When I started out as a photographer that was a situation for me I struggled with. To show you how to deal with that harsh lighting the best (my personal opinion) and to give you more confidence shooting at noon I prepared a little video. Before you click to watch it let me first apologize:

    1. For my brilliant German accent.

    2. For this video being only in English (with a German accent)
