• Since spring we decided to offer mentor sessions and work with other photographers to help them find their niche and their style of photography, develop their brand and business and finding the right client. There is always this one moment when I ask "Show me your portfolio." And the usual answer (that you might have in your head right now) "Mh maybe we look at the blog because I didn't update my portfolio since (fill in time, lets say 2 years) " And then I would ask "Well how would you attract your clients, your perfect clients" and the answer would be "Well you know that is the problem though I have all these exciting products, albums, great webdesign and new camera I have no idea how to find my perfect client, somehow I attract only clients for work I don't want to do." And then there is a little silence between us.

  • Every now and then we step out of the wedding corner and do something different. When Eva wrote me she got referred by one of my favorite brides from 2010 for a new headshot that was out of the box, lifestyle and not like all the other white-backgdrop-business portraits I couldn’t resist but […]

  • Photographing the civil wedding before the big church wedding of a couple is great. We get to meet the family and the best friends of the couple and we see them within short time two times. Kathrin and Tobias had chosen to book us for both, their civil and their church wedding and […]

  • So this month is slowly getting to an end which means July is waiting right in front of our door. This July will be very special for me as we are celebrating two birthdays. The big events in July are: me turning 30 years old and my business turning 5 years old.

So as there are a little more then 30 days left in my 30s I decided I start celebrating this special birthday a little earlier (those who know me know how obsessed I am with birthdays) So here is my little bucket-before-30 list - as I am in the middle of wedding season at the same time I won’t be to hard to myself if I don’t get to do everything on the list. But I promise I will try !

  • The idea for our welcome kit came from numerous emails with our brides. Our goal is it for each bride to give her the best wedding experience that she can get. As usually it is the first wedding for each bride and we have plenty of experience build up during the last years […]

  • I think this series is just the perfect post to end this week and start the weekend.

We met Agnes and Michel for a cup of coffee and their engagement session in their home town Wassenaar. Driving there after two sunny days in Holland we saw a huge dark wall of clouds coming and the weather forecast warned that a huge rain storm was coming.

We decided to start our date with the engagement session to be sure to not get into the rain storm.
