Gordon and Katrina came  from Hong Kong to Amsterdam in April right around the huge Queens day. Their friends Thomas and Fiona told them, that if they come to Amsterdam that they should do a couple session with me. The best way to get professional images of Amsterdam with them in the picture.

So Gordon contacted me with a special idea: He wanted to propose during that love shoot to Katrina. I was super excited and we planned that secret proposal during their real „engagement session“. I planned the tour through Amsterdam and for the proposal I chose the „Begijnhof“ as a more calm place surrounded by the old houses of Amsterdam.

I gave Gordon a little sign and he knew it was up to him to propose. It was a perfect moment and for Conrad and me a very special one to photograph.

After that we went on walking through Amsterdam and photograph the freshly „engaged“ couple.

We ended the session like I prefer in a cosy cafe of Amsterdam with a coffee or hot chocolate and Gordon gave me a little card with two love birds on the front with a text on the back: Thanks for capturing this magical moment for us.

And magical it was.

Gordon und Katrina kamen im April rund um den Königinnentag von Hong Kong nach Amsterdam.  Ihre Freunde Thomas und Fiona hatten ihnen gesagt, das sie unbedingt ein Paarshooting mit mir machen  sollen, wenn sie nach Amsterdam kommen. Die beste Möglichkeit professionelle Fotos von Amsterdam zu bekommen auf denen man selbst auch zu sehen ist.

Also hatte Gordon eine sehr spezielle Idee: Er wollte Katrina während des Shootings einen Heiratsantrag machen. Ich war sehr begeistert und aufgeregt und so planten wir den heimlichen Antrag während ihres Shootings. Ich hatte unsere Tour durch Amsterdam geplant, und für den Antrag  den „Begijnhof“ ausgesucht, weil es dort etwas ruhiger war, und man von  vielen schönen alten Häusern umgeben ist.

Ich gab Gordon ein kleines Zeichen und er wusste, das es nun Zeit für den Antrag war. Es war ein perfekter Moment und für Conrad und mich ein sehr spezieller Moment zum fotografieren.

Danach gingen wir weiter durch Amsterdam und fotografierten das frisch verlobte Paar.

Wir beendeten das Shooting, so wie ich es am liebsten tue in einem kleinen gemütlichen Café mit einem Kaffee und einer heißen Schokolade. Gordon gab mir eine Karte mit zwei Turteltauben auf der Vorderseite und einem kurzen Text auf der Rückseite: Danke das ihr diesen magischen Moment für uns festgehalten habt.

Und magisch wahr es wirklich !
