Rule the list
Do you know the feeling when you want to stop the time ? When you want to hold a moment and breath for a second ? I look at my to-do list and I do what I do all the time: I burden myself with too many things to do. I should run at least each day, I should practice yoga at least each day, I should eat healthy, I should blog often, I should clean my house more properly, I should finish the pictures of my clients within a day… who says I should ? It is just me. Putting too much on my list and expect I could finish it. What happens is I am disappointed and feel I didn’t finish a thing. Can you relate to this ? Did you every have this feeling that your to-do list is ruling your day instead of you ruling the list ? Here is a little tip from my side: Take a paper and write down five things you want to accomplish today.
Just five things, and editing five weddings doesn’t count !!! Be realistic !
Maybe you’ll already finish those to-dos at noon, maybe just at 5 pm. But you need to have a realistic list to finish today to feel good when you close down your computer tonight. Believe me you will feel better when you take that list with all five to-dos finished and you throw it in the dust bin instead of having an endless list with only five items finished.
PS I have a new hat, because I think when you are turning 30 you need a nice hat. If ever I am invited to watch a polo match now I am prepared !
